A ST MICHAEL COMMUNITY has been thrown into mourning after one of their own was found dead early this morning
Eighteen-year-old Shakem Turton of Long Gap, Spooners Hill was said to be involved in an altercation with a 16-year-old neighbour on Tuesday.
The twin brother of Shaquan Turton was described by many as respectful, very ambitious and quiet.
A close family friend who declined to be identified, said the young footballer was hit in the temple with a rock. He was admitted to FMH, but was discharged last night.
Dad Mark Turton was very distraught, while his mother could not speak at the time.
Shakem was an employee of Blakey’s Restaurant and was expected to join the Barbados Defence Force later this week. (MR)
