Cheers to The Journey

The sound of African drums filled the Frank Collymore Hall last weekend as the Israel Lovell Foundation celebrated 25 years with an evening of entertainment called The Journey.

It featured dancers, drummers, singers and the “spoken word”, with an appearance by Adrian Green and other special guests from Cuba.

The four-hour show was a package of mostly African pieces, in dance and song which included negro spirituals and folk songs from the acclaimed Cavite Chorale.
