BARBADOS’ premier golf championship, the Massy United Insurance Barbados Open, will be played at three courses again this year and is expected to attract a full field.

President of the Barbados Golf Association, Cally Boyea, said the championships will be played from August 28 to 30 with varying divisions at the Barbados Golf Club, Apes Hill and Royal Westmoreland.

“The Barbados Open is a highly regarded tournament across the Caribbean and wider afield. Entries are still coming in but we expect it to be fully subscribed again this year,” he said.

Boyea spoke at a media conference yesterday at the Bridgetown boardroom of sponsors Massy United Insurance where he thanked the sponsors for their support of the event over the years.
