THIS YEAR’S SUMMER EDITION of the all-inclusive Bliss fete could only be described as euphoric. The large venue for last Saturday’s event, The Estate, 49 Belle Plantation, St Michael, was impeccably decorated by Renaissance Designs.
Hundreds of patrons filled the plantation grounds dressed in their best elegantly casual attire. As friends mixed and mingled, there was no shortage of beverages as various wine and cocktail bars were set up throughout the venue.
The southern side was the designated food area, which was comparable to a food festival.
Food lovers were treated to delectable dishes from over seven food stations including Italian, Thai, Caribbean, and sushi.
The list of top DJs, including Bubbles and Stan, Puffy, Salt and Don, among others, kept the party atmosphere alive with the sweetest soca hits of the season and from the wider Caribbean.
Of course, the certified feters did just that by utilising the area directly in front of the stage to work up a sweat. Triple-crown winner Peter Ram whipped the entire grounds into a frenzy when he passed through and gave a teaser performance of his winning tune All Ah We.
That vibe continued as DJ Private Ryan took over and commanded the crowd throughout his set.
Jamaican DJs Billy and Poovie took things to another level when they did a 15-minute dancehall session before returning to soca for the remainder of the night. The curtains came down one hour after the scheduled 10 p.m. close.
Kudos to organisers Esquire Entertainment for hosting a well executed, sold-out event.
