MORE THAN 200 relatives, friends and neighbours gathered in Fairy Valley, Christ Church this evening at a candlelight vigil for 18-year-old Devon Prescod.

Parents Dahlia Prescod and Julian Bartlett were among those walking from Fairy Valley Wesleyan Holiness Church to the community pavilion.

Some carried candles and others held LED lanterns and small lights as they sang Bind Us Together.

Tributes were paid in memory of a young man described as very respectful and respectable, who loved fishing.

Prescod left home on July 21 to go fishing on the sea rocks at Gemswick, St Phillip and did not return.

His body was found on July 23 at Long Beach, Christ Church. It is believed that he fell off a cliff. (SAT)
