SHANE BRATHWAITE has done it again.

Barbados have a chance to surpass their best ever showing at a Pan American Games after Brathwaite delivered his latest medal-winning performance to capture bronze in yesterday’s 110-metres hurdles final in Toronto.

Running out of lane four, the former St James Secondary (now Frederick Smith) schoolboy came good on the day with a personal best 13.21 seconds – finishing behind American World champion David Oliver, who posted a new meet record of 13.07 seconds, and Mikel Thomas (13.17) of Trinidad and Tobago.

It was the second successive medal at a major meet for the steadily-improving 25-year-old, who made his real international breakthrough last year by also copping bronze in the same event at the Commonwealth Games. (JM)
