THIS YEAR’S Massy United Insurance Barbados Derby Race Day should prove to be the best in three quarters of a century.

The 2015 edition of the Derby, now in its 76th year, is scheduled for July 25. It will feature many of the country’s finest horses, as they compete for the last leg of the Triple Crown.

A special entrant will also be competing in the race. Trinidadian horse Bulletproof will be the first from the region in several years.

The three-year-old bay colt is expected to provide stiff competition to the local favourites Poetic License and Donicodidit.

The entry of this horse will be more than just another competitor on the race list.
