FIFTY, FIFTY!

That’s how a top official from the department of constituency empowerment has described the chances of the David Thompson Memorial Football Classic resuming this year.

A lack of funding put the brakes on the competition last year.

However, acting director of the Department Of Constituency Empowerment, Sandra Greenidge, said they aren’t giving up and every effort is being made to restart the tournament that began in 2011 and named in the honour of the late prime minister.
