TRIBUTES AND SYMPATHY poured in on Facebook for Karim Busby, the 16-year-old who lost his life in an accident yesterday morning.
The tragedy occurred around 12:04 a.m. when the car Busby was driving struck a guard wall at Prospect, near the entrance to Batts Rock. Busby died at the scene while his 19-year-old passenger, Sheritta Blackman, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital by ambulance.
While police reports are that she complained of pains to her upper body and both feet, a relative said the mother of a two-year-old daughter was in critical condition with injuries to her brain, face and lungs.
A SUNDAY SUN team visited Busby’s Corbin Road, Ashton Hall, St Peter home where a local pastor said the family was too distraught to speak. (CA)
