IT IS THE FINAL everyone wanted.

The title of the best footbal team in the island will be decided tonight when Premier League giants the Barbados Defence Force Sports Programme (BDFSP) and Rendezvous meet in the final of the Banks Champions Cup at the Barbados Football Association’s Wildey Astroturf.

BDFSP have come out the better team in the teams’ previous encounters – winning 4-3 and 2-0 earlier in the Digicel Premier League – but in knockout football, all past events are irrelevant and what matters is the result on the day.

Rendezvous’ recent form, along with their record against the BDFSP, may place them at a psychological disadvantage, as they have lost three of their last six matches.
