BURIALS AT Westbury Cemetery came to a dead stop yesterday.
The two scheduled had to be postponed because of industrial action by Sanitation Service Authority (SSA) workers.
Bryan’s Funeral Home was one of the agencies affected, but managing director and funeral director Gail Peirce said it was the family of the deceased who had suffered the most.
“For the family it is the worst because you get all your strength up to go to the funeral and then to be told it cannot be carried out and you have to do it all over again. That lack of closure for some is extremely painful,” he said.
