Caricom leaders assemble

Leaders from across the region yesterday streamed into Barbados for the Thirty-Sixth Regular Meeting of the Conference of Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community.

There were 13 countries represented when the conference started at Hilton Barbados with a three-hour opening ceremony which was addressed by man of the moment, Secretary General of the United Nations Ban Ki-moon, and his counterpart in CARICOM Irwin LaRocque. Prior to the official start, the leaders gathered for official photographs.
