King after US Open spot

THE KING’s Grand Slam dreams aren’t over yet.

Not by a long shot.

He may have just missed out on Wimbledon, but Darian King believes he’s a sure bet to make the qualifiers of this year’s US Open after picking up valuable points in his latest tournament win over the weekend.

“We are going to play an ATP Challenger in Granby, Canada, and the Atlanta ATP 250 and we will play tournament until the last day of the cut to ensure he’s in the first cut, but I am 95 per cent sure he’ll make it because of these points he collected over the last weekend,” said King’s older brother and coach, Chris King.
