Insurer footing bills

HELP IS ON the way for Zakiyah Defreitas.

Massy United Insurance – insurers of the ZR vehicle in which the Springer Memorial Secondary student was travelling last week Tuesday when she sustained severe injuries in an accident that led to her left forearm being amputated – has pledged to foot all her medical bills.

This was disclosed yesterday by medical case management coordinator George Vanderpool, whose company HealthCare Barbados has been hired to manage the effort.

Vanderpool said Massy United contacted him within 24 hours of the accident.
