Mexican government scholarships available

BARBADIANS INTERESTED IN studying in Mexico now have the opportunity to apply for scholarships being offered by that country’s government for the academic year 2016. 

Among the scholarships to be granted is the Association of Caribbean States’ Scholarship Programme. This is awarded for Master’s and Doctoral degrees and research on specific areas, with special emphasis on tourism, transport, trade and natural disasters.

There is also the Caribbean Community Scholarship Programme, available to those interested in Master’s and Doctorate degrees and research. Areas of study covered under this are engineering, health, bio-technology, genomics, mechatronics, nanotechnology, environment, and spanish as a second language.

Applications should be submitted no later than Tuesday, September 1, 2015, directly to the Embassy of Mexico at the following address: Assistant to the Ambassador, Embassy of Mexico, 12 Hayes Street, St. Clair, Port of Spain, Trinidad, West Indies. (BGIS)
