Tridents looking to put Aruba to bed

With  a disappointing Caribbean Cup campaign behind them, the new-look Barbados senior men’s football team will be seeking to advance to the third round of the CONCACAF qualifiers for the 2018 FIFA World Cup when they face Aruba this evening at the Usain Bolt Sports Complex.

Barbados earned a valuable 2-0 away win last Wednesday night when captain and English professional player Emmerson Boyce put the off-field distress of losing his original passport behind him to score his second and third international goals for Barbados.

The Tridents, ranked 132nd in the world, 19 places above their opponents, will be confident of securing their sixth consecutive victory over the Arubans who boast three professional players from the Dutch First Division.
