Shane Brathwaite is in the final of the men’s 110 metres hurdles at the IAAF World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
After being impeded by Jamaican Ronald Levy during the running of the first semi-final earlier this afternoon, Brathwaite crossed the line in 14.29 seconds, last in his heat and with the slowest time overall.
However, the Barbados delegation lodged a successful protest and the Pan Am Games champion will now line up in lane one of the final at 4 p.m.
Levy was disqualified.
American Grant Holloway won the heat in 13.10 seconds and former world champion Gregory Shubenkov of Russia, competing under the label of authorised neutral athlete, took the second automatic spot in 13.18 seconds.
Olympic champion Omar McLeod of Jamaica has the fastest qualifying time of 13.08 seconds. (SAT)
