Callender charged, to appear in court

THE MAN WHO came to THE NATION on crutches has been charged by police.

Twenty-nine-year old Shiamar Tishake Callender, of Risk Road, Fitts Village, St James, has been charged with robbery and discharging a firearm in a public place.

Callender, alias “Contact” or “Tom”, is alleged to have committed the offences on March 15. He is expected to appear at the District A Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Callender, the subject of a wanted man notice, came to THE NATION on Monday, displaying a large scar on his leg, indicating he had been injured and incapacitated.

James Jonah Josiah Sandiford, 23, of Mayers Land, Richmond, St Michael was charged and placed before the court in relation to the same criminal incident. (PR/SAT)
