RONALD “SUKI” KING helped the Suzuki Sukis to a dramatic 4-3 win over the Barbados Defence Force (BDF) in Division 2 table tennis action at the Table Tennis Centre, Nursery Drive, on Tuesday night.The world draughts champion was in dominant form with his table tennis racquet as he beat Wendell Corbin and Shamari Bullen in a match in which Suzuki Sukis twice came from behind before pulling off a nail-biting win.Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey Bostic put BDF ahead by beating Peter Riley 3-1.Tough battle Peter’s daughter, Anthonette, orchestrated the response with a 3-0 win over Bullen, and then King won a tough battle with Corbin 11-3, 7-11, 12-10, 9-11, 11-2. Bostic and Bullen took out King and Anthonette Riley in the doubles and when Bostic overcame Anthonette Riley 8-11, 11-7, 11-8, 9-11, 11-6, BDF went ahead 3-2.The senior Riley then downed Corbin in straight games to set up the decider between Bullen and King. King rose to the challenge, beating Bullen 11-3, 11-3, 12-10.
