Coconut trees fell in the path of Tropical Storm Tomas, now upgraded to a hurricane, early this morning at Tweedside Road, St Michael.
These public spirited citizens wasted no time, as each armed with a collins, hustled to clear the busy street, not far away from Government House.
Tomas left a number of fallen trees in its path as it passed over Barbados. The eye of the storm passed over Barbados at 2 a.m.
Prime Minister Freundel Stuart issued an all clear for Barb ados after 2 this afternoon
