Fewer lights for Christmas

It is hard to determine if the world-wide financial situation or the increased Value Added Tax and concomittant higher electricity bills have been the cause, but Barbadians have noticeably reduced the ‘over the top’ lighting displays normally put on show this time of the year.
The house along highway 2A in St. Thomas is still well decorated, so too has the dwelling at the bottom of Two Mile Hill, St. Michael and the multi-themed presentations at Callender’s in Christ Church.
