Two of Barbados’ leading actresses will be performing in Trinidad this weekend.
NIFCA gold-award winner Jennifer Walker and Yolanda Holder of Double Laugh Theatre Productions are part of the star-studded all-female cast in the popular comedy show No Men Allowed.
They are guests of the non-governmental organisation Aspire, for which No Men Allowed is a major fundraising event.
The Bajan flag will be flying high in Queen’s Hall, Port-of-Spain, as leading female performers from Trinidad and the region will also be appearing on the show.
Walker and Holder said they were delighted to have been asked to perform and that it was great to know their work was recognized by producers outside of Barbados.
They said they were looking forward to performing at the show, and hoped this was the start of many more appearances outside of Barbados.
The Bajans are guests of Aspire. The organisation focuses on women’s health rights and issues which specifically deal with abortion rights, safe terminations and safe reproductive health, among others. (YB/PR)
