Net scam

A British national was in custody last night as police probed an Internet fraud scheme that swindled investors of more that $1.5 million.
When contacted last night, head of the Fraud Unit, Assistant Superintendent John Maxwell, confirmed a non-national was assisting lawmen with their investigations.
Sources told The DAILY NATION that the Financial Services Commission and the Central Bank of Barbados’ exchange control section were involved in the investigations.
