Fee scale for patients

MINISTER?of Health Donville Inniss says that it is only fair that physicians have a fee scale to give Barbadians a better idea of what they should be paying for their services.
Inniss made this comment on Wednesday night at a NATION?Talkback Town Hall Meeting that focused on The Rising Cost Of Health Care.
“I haven’t found doctors to be unreasonable. I have found them willing to listen and engage the public and I am sure they will take into consideration the whole issue of the scale of fees, so the public will know what to expect,” Inniss said before a packed audience at St Leonard’s School.
Inniss was responding to an observation made by member of the audience Joy Workman, who claimed that some physicians were charging excessive fees which had contributed to the high cost of health care. (MK)
