Burial woes hit family

A ST THOMAS FAMILY’s pain at hearing of a member’s death in Antigua is now compounded by worries over how to get his body home for burial.
Angela Bowen, sister of fisherman Victor Bowen who died after being rescued at sea, told the WEEKEND NATION yesterday that they were not in a financial position to bring the body home.
In addition to having to take care of her disabled son, she was currently dealing with a personal medical problem which required surgery, she said.
Members of the family had discussions with the Government’s Fisheries Division, but were told the department could not help since Bowen was not registered with the department, she added. (TS)
