PEACOCKS ARE NOT everyday birds that are seen in Barbados.
Nevertheless, one showed itself to a DAILY NATION team travelling through St George recently.
It was discovered that the bird with its beautiful plumage belonged to one of Barbados’ well-known farmers, Keith Laurie.
He explained that the three-year-old peacock spent its days hanging out with the ducks and chickens on the farm.
And at sunset, it could be seen flying into the tallest tree to comfortably position itself on a branch to fall asleep. (AH)
