YET ANOTHER BARBADIAN could face the law courts after he was reportedly caught dumping in the salt pond area just off Maxwell Coast Road.
Months ago, environmental officers at the Randall Phillips Polyclinic received a call about illegal dumpers in the area.
Yesterday they were on the spot after tracking down the owner of XD145, who had been spotted dumping on Monday evening.
The DAILY NATION was just in time to see Shamar Massiah Toby, of Blackmans, Christ Church, with his clean-up crew on the job under the watchful eye of environment officer Sean Brathwaite.
Brathwaite informed Toby that under the Health Services (Nuisances) Regulations 1969, Cap 44 of the Laws of Barbados, Section 3 to 6, he could be prosecuted and fined up to $5 000. (CT)
