The West Indies may be looking for a victory in England this weekend.
But the way their opponents are playing, it could be a big ask.
Depleted of major stars like Chris Gayle, Dwayne Bravo, and Kieron Pollard in the shorter versions of the game, the West Indies face England, the world’s new No.1 Test team, and defending T20 world champs, in the first of a two-match T20 series, starting today at the Oval.
Captain Darren Sammy, however, is still expecting his band of youngsters to make some noise on the big stage, and to at least be competitive against the rampaging English.
