The remaining members of the new Jamaica Cabinet will sworn in at 5 p.m. today at King’s House. Yesterday, Audley Shaw and Dwight Nelson were sworn in as finance minister and national security ministers respectively. Prime Minister Andrew Holness had indicated the remaining ministers would be sworn in by the end of the week and suggested that he would retain the education portfolio. Jamaica College principal, Ruel Reid, was being considered for education minister, upon being brought in through the senate. But The Gleaner/Power 106 News sources have claimed the prime minister opted against that option. This has further fuelled speculation that the prime minister will retain members of the previous cabinet as general elections may be held soon. (Jamaica Gleaner)
