Displaying the face, body and the personality of Exactly Banks, Christine Wiggins held off serious challenges from 14 other beauties to capture the Banks Golden Girl Finals in front of a massive and screaming crowd at Oistin Bay Garden on Thursday night.
Wiggins’ popularity rivalled that of third runner-up Jazz Goddard and the 2012 Banks Calendar Girl would have blown away the judges, along with the spectators, with her daring two-piece swimsuit. The question and answer section also proved to be a breeze for the eloquent Wiggins.
The winner would have captured a $10 000 contract as the Banks Beer Ambassador by emerging victorious from the last group of five which proved to be the group of champions. Also in that group was Anke Griffith who had earlier won $1 000 and an automatic finalist spot after being voted The People’s Choice.
Joyanne Skeete, who copped the second spot, was also in the third group along with Goddard and Simone Mottley who ensured that the five from Group 3 all advanced to the final nine.
Shakira Caesar displayed great confidence in her journey to prove that she was exactly what Banks needed. during the leggings and baby tees section she was sultry, while in the swimsuit category she wore Banks’ logo on a gold chain as well as the words, “Exactly” on her suit bottom. However, bringing a live snake on stage might have wowed, but not charmed the judges.
The other finalists were Kamaria Evelyn, Nikita Johnson and Jalisa Alleyne. Ashley Simpson and Nikita Wharton showed good form, but they did not make the final nine, which might have resulted from the excess body oil on their thighs and legs.
