Prime Minister Freundel Stuart had a busy weekend in sports circles.
He took in the prestigious Sandy Lane Barbados Gold Cup horse race at the Garrison Savannah on Saturday.
The following day he was on hand for the end of the Nissan polo series between Barbados and the visiting Cheshire team from England at the Holder’s, St James venue.
After securing wins in the first two matches, the locals suffered a disappointing 7-5½ loss in the final game.
The Prime Minister, however, would have enjoyed the competitive exchanges.
