Atlantis   tops BHTA Awards

Atlantis Submarines is on top of the world.
The long-time tourism company rose to the pinnacle of Barbados’ tourism services ladder on Saturday night, taking away three awards during the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association’s (BHTA) Awards ceremony at the Concorde Experience facility, located near Grantley Adams International Airport.
Sitting under the belly of the Concorde supersonic jet that created its own piece of history in Barbados’ fledgling tourism industry two decades ago, Atlantis staffers were the stars of the show as five employees hit the stage each time the company earned an award.
The company was able to dominate proceedings by winning the Tourism Services Award for business excellence, the Green Initiative Award for its execution of environmentally friendly services, and the Step Award, which it shared with Hilda Skeene Primary School.
