Spring in QEH’s step

SOMETHING is happening at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QEH).
And Minister of Health Donville Inniss said he could already sense an improvement in staff morale and level of patient care.
Inniss was speaking yesterday at a ceremony to open the refurbished main entrance of the QEH, which had a $130 000 spruce up over a six-week period.
The minister joined with director of human resources Charmaine Napoleon-Young in encouraging the public to own and take care of the facilities.
Staff, patients and the public have a bigger welcome area; a reception desk, which will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and holidays; additional seating, new floor and new colour scheme on the walls.
The next stage will see a water fountain and small shops for flowers, gift cards and other speciality items.
