LESLIE ALLEYNE and Chris O’Neal are the provisional winners of this year’s Sol Go Further 55th anniversary June Safari.
In round three of the Barbados Rally Club’s (BRC) MudDogs Safari and Chefette MudDogs Novice Safari Championships, the two consolidated their position after strong performances during the night sections to end with 1 308 penalty points, driving a Simpson Motors Isuzu D-Max.
And with unmanned controls and timing to be finalized ,Alleyne and O’Neal were able to hold off last year’s winners Chris Armstrong and Wayne Clarke – in a Toyota Hilux – who chalked up 1 496 penalties to be in second place.
They were ahead of another favoured pair, Ryan Corbin and Dustin Edwards, in the Corbin’s Catering Services/SDRR/Crane and Equipment Toyota Hilux, with 2 358 penalty points.
