Heavy rains are expected to hit Barbados tomorrow as a result of Tropical Depression #7.
At 11:00 a.m  today, the center of the depression was located near 13.7°N  49.5°W or  about 670 miles or 1080km  to the east of   Barbados. The depression is moving towards the west at about 23mph….37 km/h  and on this track  the center of the system is expected to pass just to the north of Barbados  late Saturday/early Sunday.
Maximum sustained winds are near 35 mph…55km/h with higher gusts. Some slow strengthening is likely during the next 48 hours and there still exist the possibility that the depression could become a tropical storm  before it reaches the Lesser Antilles.
Regardless of its development this system still has the potential to generate significant  showers,  scattered thunderstorms and occasional gusty winds across Barbados.
