Sudden death

JUST LAST FRIDAY, Nkosazana-Ri’shayla Juan Roslyn Forte-Chandler was at the Teachers Consultation at the Garfield Sobers Sports Complex – her usual “bubbly” self – looking forward to her new role as acting principal from the new school year.
But fate dealt her a cruel hand; she will not call Eagle Hall Primary to assembly today.
Forte-Chandler collapsed suddenly at her President Kennedy Drive, St Michael home on Saturday morning, dying later at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
Described as “disciplined” and “dedicated”, the 50-year-old teacher, in education for more than 30 years, “positively touched” the lives of everyone she came into contact with.
