Space problem at St Lawrence

ST LAWRENCE PRIMARY School has outgrown its space.
“We have 245 students now and we had to make room for them,” principal Gloria Bryan told he DAILY NATION yesterday after the school’s 2012 prefects’ installation ceremony held at the St Lawrence Church, Christ Church, under the theme Above And Beyond: The Leaders Of Tomorrow.
Bryan said the space problem had become so bad that a back room earmarked to accommodate parents waiting for their children on evenings might have to be used for classes.
“Something must be happening as people keep sending their children here,” she said, adding that the school was already turning back applicants, especially at nursery level but could not turn away anyone in the catchment area. (CA)
