More than 40 people from various ballroom and Latin clubs will be going to the annual international competition, the (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) ISTD Grand Finals, to be held in Winter Gardens, Blackpool, England, on November 3 and 4.
This was the decision of an international judge who visited Barbados to oversee the qualifiers.
The Juniors, Under-35 and Over-35 dancers who did the cha-cha, foxtrot, tango, jive, waltz and quickstep brought their fancy footwork, precise technique, sizzling steps and graceful classics with the necessary elegance and flair to St Leonard’s Boys’ School last Saturday night.
Some well known names though were missing as they were in Trinidad over the weekend attending Regionals.
Some categories had only one couple while some had two. The Juniors had the largest turnout. (NS)
