THERE WERE no disciplinary issues or disunity in the Barbados camp during their failed Caribbean Twenty20 campaign in Trinidad and Tobago and St Lucia, head coach Emmerson Trotman has said.
Trotman dismissed claims that there were a number of disputes over team selection and that captain Dwayne Smith and fast bowler Fidel Edwards sought permission to leave Castries before Thursday’s final match against the Windward Islands.
“Edwards and Smith were totally committed to playing,” the head coach said. “There was nothing to my knowledge about Smith and Edwards wanting to go off to the Bangladesh tournament.”
The two players have been signed to play for Sylhat Royals and Rangpur Riders respectively in the Bangladesh Premier League.
