Green House won the Hillaby/ Turners Hall Primary School Sports for the third year in succession when the finals were held at Kensington Oval yesterday.
Led by 43 points from victrix ludorum Anique Leacock, Green scored 554 points, with Blue finishing second on 486 points, Red 456 and Yellow on 455.
Blue’s Omarion Ifill was the best male athlete with 40 points in the Under-9 boys.
Green were dominant throughout the day with both their girls and boys topping the standings.
Leacock just pipped Under-9 athlete Gabrielle Clarke of Yellow by one point for the “queen of the hill” title.
Clarke won the Under-9 cricket ball throw while Dequon Small also of Yellow won the Under-11 division to put some pressure on Ifill.
Leacock took the long jump as well as the 400-metre dash for Under-11s but she had to settle for second to Kayla Alleyne of Red House in the 600-metres open race. Clarke took the 80, 100 and 150 metres races.
Victories in the 100 and 150 saw Ifill enjoying a tremendous day in the sprints. Small, Jaden Howell, Zario Small and Marquez Cadogan impressed in the field events. Cadogan was immaculate in dress and form when he smashed the field to take a blistering 400 metres race.  (KB)
