Michael Lashley and Mara Thompson of the DLP have plenty to celebrate.
Thompson beat out her rival Hutson Griffith with 4025 votes to 1,091 in St John.
Lashley was the projected winner for St Philip North with 2760 votes to the BLP’s  Indar Weir with 1431. There are still two boxes to be counted.
Lashley has just arrived with a motorcade trailing behind him, horns blowing. He and his supporters are clearly elated. They are here dancing and singing to music… Chanting “Dems Now, Dems Again.”
Speaking to reporting outside the polling station, he said that winning his third term in office is a demonstration of his supporters love for him. He said he too loves his constituents and have always maintained contact with them.
Lashley said his first order of business will be to undertaken some major road and housing projects in the community and revamp some of the old festivals.
Weir is nowhere to be seen.
