Over 200 student voters

AT LEAST 285 of the first-time voters will be students of secondary schools. 
Of the six schools offering sixth form instruction, Harrison College, with 140, has the highest number, according to figures given to the DAILY NATION.
The Lodge School is next in line with 59, Queen’s College has 50, The St Michael totalled 30. Christ Church Foundation, which has the lowest number of 18-year-olds on roll, checked in with six.
There were no numbers coming from Combermere up to press time, and there might be others who are eligible to vote from non-sixth form schools.
More than 3 000 new voters are among the 118 669 men and 128 542 women registered to vote in today’s general election. (YB)
