PM: Give of your best time

Prime Minister Freundel Stuart believes that punctuality continues to be a challenge for some members of the local workforce.
Addressing the fifth annual GIVE Awards ceremony at Hilton Barbados on Sunday night, he said: “Punctuality as a concept still seems to pose challenges for far too many persons. It helps to remember that it does not only refer to being early, or to being governed by the clock but must be extended to timely and expeditious delivery of services.”
The GIVE Awards ceremony is an initiative of the Ministry of Labour, Social Security and Human Resources Development to highlight outstanding performance across the public service.
GIVE is the acronym for Great attitudes, Initiative, Values and Excellence.
According to the Prime Minister, the ministry has developed eight criteria to be applied to the nomination process for the awards and he is particularly concerned about punctuality and cooperation. (RMB)
