ARNOS VALE – Barbadian off-spinner Ashley Nurse and Trinidadian batsman Lendl Simmons combined to guide the West Indies ‘A’ to a five-wicket victory over Sri Lanka ‘A’ in  their second Twenty20 cricket match yesterday  at the Arnos Vale  Sports Complex.
Chasing the visitors’ paltry total of 81 in 18.1 overs after Nurse took three for 15 in his four overs, West Indies ‘A’ raced to 83 for five in 13 overs.
The victory allowed  the West Indies ‘A’  to take the trophy after the first T20 of the two-match series was rained out after just three balls were bowled on Tuesday.
Simmons ended the match with two sixes  to finish on 51 not out as the West Indies reserves, despite losing five wickets, chased down Sri Lanka A’s modest total to win with seven overs to spare. (EZS)
