Customs fury

CUSTOMS OFFICERS are up in arms following the arrest of a colleague at Grantley Adams International Airport yesterday.
Owen Moseley, a 47-year-old Customs guard, was arrested and warned of intended prosecution after a confrontation with police over a traveller’s luggage.
One of Moseley’s colleagues who witnessed the arrest said the matter had its genesis in the discovery of marijuana cigarettes in the carry-on bag of a departing passenger, who was also arrested.
He said when security personnel picked up the illegal drug via a scanner, the information was passed on to the assistant comptroller of customs in charge of the airport, who instructed Customs guards to secure the traveller’s other bags and take them to the baggage hall for further examination.
