I am taking this opportunity to respond to the captioned news article entitled What’s Wrong With Women After Age 50? since my dearly beloved husband was kind enough to draw it to my attention.
It is my view that our men are in crisis of losing their manhood and the young girls to whom the writer refers and those who make themselves so freely available to older men are not only opportunists who capitalize on an opportunity they see to get their Remi hair-do and snack box, but also reduce themselves to the role of personalized call girls.
However, this quick fix does not get to the core of our problem.
Why can’t our men see the need to be as equally committed to God as they are to getting sex at all costs and pursue Him with all their heart and soul in like manner?
Why can’t our men see the magnitude of the risks they take of contracting any and all sorts of sexually transmitted diseases and why can’t they be bold enough to publicly confess the eventuality of such a dilemma after satisfying their urges and publicly trashing their wives “whose only interest is going to church and serving God”?
Why can’t men make the decision to join their wives when they are going to church as they would have collaboratively done in other matters all along and when making other critical decisions? That would have kept their family together for the decades the writer spoke of.
I think men need to see this as the most critical of decision to be made in their life since it will ensure that both their souls are saved and destined for an eternity in heaven together. Don’t treat it lightly!
Why choose spiritual death rather than life and probable provocation of natural death rather than contentment? Gentlemen, you are on an ego trip and on a fixation of past performance which – without some enhancement – leaves you to shame in the present and which also multiplies your risks of dying and going to hell for committing adultery.
The article quite rightly says that more experienced women are looking for committed relationships and so you resort to the young and giddy-headed ones who also need quick fixes and have no difficulty playing your game, as they laugh you to scorn behind your backs, poke fun at you in their social gatherings, rob you of your money and possibly your joy, and stupse in frustration as you attempt to satisfy your little urges and huge egos.
Wives are more tolerant and content to work around the problem rather than humiliate their husbands, while seeking after a deeper relationship with their spiritual husband (God), who strengthens them emotionally so they are better able to endure the voids in their marriage without moaning and complaining.
Men, you need to try this remedy and appreciate your wives for their love, their faithfulness, their fortitude, their loyalty, their understanding, their commitment and dedication to God and also to you. Your wives choose not to seek after the worldly things or natural flesh that can easily lead them to cheat on you.
What would it profit a man or woman to gain the world and lose their soul? Isn’t a little with content great gain anymore?
Women are made of flesh and blood as well with the same natural desires as men. Why fool yourselves otherwise? But what are we to do when our men fall short? Step out on them?
Some do but I believe that those of us who love the Lord see it as sinful and choose not to do so.
“Who can find a virtuous woman for her price is far above rubies, the heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.” (Proverbs 31 vs 10-12).
Men, appreciate your wives, love your wives as Christ loves the church and turn from your wicked ways so that God may heal your land!
Why is church such a contentious issue with you men? Is it not your role as priest of your home to ensure that your family is spiritually secured? Do you not think the dysfunction in our families is one of the consequences we are all paying for our misguided priorities and disobedience to God? Do you not know that this is the purpose for which we were created? To seek God with all our minds, all our hearts and soul?
Join your wives and children in church because the family that prays together, stays together.
