Church reaches out to victims of violence

Victims of domestic violence have been urged to reach out to the church for help by presiding bishop of the Barbados District of Pentecostal Assemblies of the West Indies (PAWI) Gerry Seale said.
“I am not sure how many of those persons are reaching out to us for help,” he told the DAILY NATION.
“I think if persons reach out to the church for help, the church has an obligation to respond in whatever way they can, whether it is in counselling or assistance in providing shelter.”
Seale expressed this view when quizzed on how the church can assist victims of domestic violence as well as the perpetrators of such acts following the death of Caroline Forde last week.  (LK)
