Clash of giants tonight

It will be a clash of the titans when the SJ Health and Bakery Limited Punches in Bunches road tennis competition continues this evening at the Belfield Court at 6 p.m.
In two of the night’s biggest matches, Adrian “Dan” Skeete, who surprised many by eliminating Anthony “Ears” Mitchell in the opening round will come up against Mark “Venom” Griffith, while Jeffery “Borah” Best and Curtis Jones will do battle in what is expected to be two mouth-watering matches.
Skeete, an aggressive left-hander and Griffith, one of the island’s best defenders who is also capable of quickly turning defence into attack, will both be vying for a spot in the A class quarterfinals.
Another exciting showdown will pit the veteran Best against Jones.
Best, although widely regarded as one of the sport’s top players, hasn’t won a major competition in recent times and will be hoping to put an end to his drought.
That will be no easy task though, as he comes up against one of road tennis’ best attackers, known for his powerful baseline play and relentless attacks, especially from his forehand.
Defending champion Julian “Michael Jackson” White will also be in action against Shamon Weekes, Victor “Earth” Ward will play Shabbir Greenidge and Chester “Boy Boy” Brewster will take on Michael Jean.
In the “B” class division, the number one seed Junior Boucher will have a stern test in junior Kyle King, veterans Andrew “Cripple” Holder and Trevor “Fox” King will face off and Phillip “Foff” Garner will meet Winston “Ballies” Padmore.
