I want to share these few words with you. I’m a man who work as a janitor and I find my boss to be very low-minded.
Would you believe he puts small amounts of money [around the place] trying to trap me?
Sometimes I have to do a little dusting in his house and I find that this man puts 25 cents and $2 bills under books or drawers. The last time I went there a $5 bill was under a book. The next time I was cleaning the same area the $5 was removed and a $20 replaced it. I had to laugh to myself.
I was laughing so much – to think that my boss thinks I’m a thief. He has been doing this thing for a long time. Little does he know that from the time I was a child my mother told me never to take what does not belong to me.
I asked him for a little raise in pay but I have not received it as yet. However, I leave him to God. I do not have to take what does not belong to me. He can travel every year and I cannot, but I’m not angry.
My motto is “Never be angry about other people’s things”. I was working for 15 years and I am still working for the same $50. This may sound strange but it’s the truth.

Dear J.H.,
You appear to be a very hard-working and honest man and I’m sorry that your “boss” is not the type of person you would like him to be. The Bible says a little with content is great gain, and you’re on the right road if you do not covet anything that another person has.
Keep your head held high and continue to put your all into whatever honest work your hands find to do.
I believe that after 15 years you merit some kind of increase and even though your boss has not seen it fit to grant you that increase, I encourage you to give him the respect that he is due. You also have the option of checking with the Labour Department or a trade union to discover if what you’re being paid as a general worker is adequate.
