Painting faces

Many artists will agree that capturing the art of dancing in any form seemingly creates music – music which is unseen and unheard by the natural eye or ear.
At Frangipani Art Gallery, Sugar Cane Club Hotel, Maynards, St Peter, two paintings of ballerinas appear to capture the essence of ballet: feet perched, head held high, and so the music starts.
Then there are those faces which tell the tale of intrigue, mystery and hard work –  all representing great works by some of Barbados’ and the wider Caribbean’s skilled artists. 
These apart, the gallery is filled with numerous wonderfully painted and sculpted delights, which endear people to at least stop, examine, and of course, choose one or two for that special home or office space.
And so at Frangipani Art Gallery . . . art strives and lives on. (CH)
